Literally springtime in a cup! The scent is delicate floral with hints of fresh grass. The taste is that layered with an almond/honey essence of sweet shortbread. Exactly the tea I need to lift my spirits toward spring.

Spring has sprung
This tea is a stunner. The moment you open the bag, the smell of a fresh Spring bouquet hits your nose. Notes of jasmine, gardenia, and sweet grass are present. The sweetness of almonds follow, making you smell freshly baked shortbread cookies that you simply cant wait for them to cool down before enjoying one or two. This almond sweetness becomes best friends with honeysuckles and its like a cup of Spring weather in your hands. If this was sold as a perfume, Id instantly order a bottle or two because of the balanced sweet floral notes. Its a gorgeous tea and Im going to pop the kettle on now to enjoy another cuppa.

A warm cup of comfort
My first impression upon opening the bag was the rich scent of orange washing over me, followed by the zingy smell of black tea rising up. Then an unexpected twang of rosemary entered the mix, providing an exciting counterpoint for the sweeter citrus. Brewed, the cup was a pleasant blend of mild black tea with notes of rich caramel candy, a Seville winter fruit grove, and a backyard herb garden. When I added milk, this tea earned its five stars, its smooth, creamy feel reminding me of afternoons sitting in the garden reading a good book while the scent of oranges and butterscotch wafted through the air. I predict Gold Rush will become one of my favorite August teas.
Janet, on Gold Rush
A feast for your senses
As soon as you open the package, you are surrounded with the most delicious and aromatic scent . You can hardly wait to steep your tea and the anticipation has begun. The tea does not disappoint. The orange blends perfectly with the black tea and the addition of the caramel is absolutely divine. I did not taste the rosemary. It was very subtle but having said this I still think the tea is delightful. Adding the milk of your choice adds creaminess which is perfection. It is a perfect breakfast tea or anytime of the day tea. August Uncommon, you have done it again!
Rosie, on Gold Rush
Definitely the best green tea I've ever tried! I was never a fan of green teas because they just taste like grassy water, but this one has changed my mind. It's mild and smooth with a lovely spiced scent. It even makes the whole room smell great! The cardamom and vanilla are well balanced, not overpowering. I'll be ordering more very soon!

For each 10oz cup of tea from this kit, you can expect about 60mg of Caffeine.
Thats about the same as:
A double-shot of espresso (~30mg per shot)
Half a cup of drip coffee or cold brew (~120-200mg per 10oz)
Tea buzz vs coffee buzz
The caffeine in tea doest hit you all at once like coffee. It gives you a slower lift and a softer landing that coffee does. This is because of an amino acid in tea called L-theanine that slows the absorption of caffeine into your body. It also promotes a feeling of calm alertness.
All tea has caffeine
All tea that comes from the tea plant, Camellia Sinensis, contains caffeine. So white, green, oolong, and black teas all contain caffeine. Herbal teas like peppermint, rooibos, and chamomile are not technically tea and are caffeine free.
